Place du Tertre is where artist like Picasso, Vlamenck, Derain, Soutine, Modigliani, Van Gogh and countless others lived and worked
in these narrow streets. Today it's filled with watercolors, live portrait sketchers and caricaturists.
You can't blame them for trying to roll in some dough, and a few are actually good artists who needed the money, but for
the most part it reminds us of that lost generation of artists who lived and worked here .
