Vaison-la-Romaine is located between the Alps and the Mediterranean, at the foot of Mont Ventoux, and enjoys a Mediterranean climate, covering 2700 hectares in the heart of lush, fertile countryside, excellent for a slow pace lifestyle. Both the town and the surrounding area offer a rich variety of landscapes, colours and tree species which represents the essence of “South of France”.
A stunningly beautiful hilltop town built right along the crest of a
steep hill and a huge market that ran the length of the main street. We
take time browsing in the market and buy lavender and product terroir. As we continued on through the village and across an ancient Roman
bridge still in use today we start to climb upwards through another
tiny little village.
