This bed & breakfast is a refurbished of the old servants quarters of the Chateau.
The castle, which has not been occupied for the past 75 years, has 22
large bedrooms, and many other interesting features, including a chapel
and a library. The oldest part dates back to 1233, and the authentic
kitchen to 1359. Despite the fact that the castle is in need of serious
renovation, it is well worth a tour. The Chateau is still under going costly restoration, the owner/host Matthew showed us a tour inside of the castle. We get to have a glimpse of the Chateau's kitchen rusted stove and utensils. Women underwear found inside the chateau. There are many restricted zone in the castle, given its very ancient, most of the stairs and walls were unstable. Read more of the castle
history here.
On the large compound, there is a stable with 2 horses. Its pretty cool the watch them graze on fresh grass every morning. A lake that lead to the castle. The room has tall ceiling and clean. Breakfast is provided at the courtyard. Its really nice to visit this historical b&b and live like the Duke of Burgundy once did.
