Maruyama Park is a park in Kyoto, Japan. It is noted as the main center for cherry blossom viewing in Kyoto, and can get extremely crowded at that time of year. The park's star attraction is a weeping cherry tree which becomes lit up at night. For this season, I arrived late to Kyoto around mid April as I was traveling through center of Japan.
Lots of the cherry blossom were starting to wither. Nonetheless, many Japanese are still out for one last Hanami before the sakura completely disappears. So glad to witness their picnic session and I manage to spot one full bloom sakura tree.
