In Meursault on the Côte de Beaune, wine has been an art for centuries. This village of 1700 habitants marks the start of the great white wine vineyards of Burgundy. For 1000 years, the villagers have been cultivating some of the most renowned white wine in the world extracted solely from Chardonnay grapes. The exceptional balance and aromatic complexity of these wines have awarded them an excellent reputation worldwide.
The town is small consist of 3 restaurants, 1 bakery, 1 post office, 2 convenient stores, a church and a town hall, leaving the rest of the land for cultivating great wine.
