Ippodo Tea House has been around for 3 centuries, Tea purveyor in Kyoto, Japan.
They take it so seriously that they demonstrate the best way to achieve subtle tea flavours.
Walked in and there are so many version of Matcha Green tea alone. From bitter to more umami flavours, I couldn't work out which suits me the most but the bright luminous green does makes me wanna gulp the whole tea pot. You can buy the loose tea leaves/powder, all the utensils are available for sale too. Even if you didn't buy anything, you are welcome to try and watch Tea Master demo.
There is also cafe within the tea house where you can enjoy single serving of the tea and it comes with Japanese sweets (wagashi).
