Barbecue Quail |
YUMMY |
I went to Fushimi Inari Taisha temple bright and early at 10 AM, took the JR trains from Kyoto Station (included in the JR Pass) YAY!
Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine of Inari, located in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, Japan. The shrine sits at the base of a mountain and slowly trails up the mountain to many smaller shrines which span 4 kilometers and takes approximately 2 hours to climb up the steps.
Well, I did not complete touring the entire shrine. I only went to up to some parts where there are lesser crowd, in the hopes to snap some good photos and head back down.
At the base of the mountain, rows of foods stands and knick-knacks had set up in time for quick lunch snacks! From dumplings, dango, takoyaki, sausage rolls to bbq quails!
