Located at the beginning of Bukchon Hanok Village, this place exude authentic Korean atmosphere but inside is purely tourists trying their Raw Soy Marinated Crabs.
Table setting with dishes, spoons and chopsticks all made of brass in traditional Korean style
Hanjeongsik: a complete Korean meal with an array of savory side dishes. The most lavish of hanjeongsik traditional originated with the banquets served in the royal palaces or afluence family.
Their signature dish, Crabs marinated in soy sauce, 간장게장, was alright. Honestly, I can't really tell as all I could taste was salty, briny and creamy from the crab roes resembling sea urchin, but at least they looked and taste fresh.
Braised Short Ribs, 갈비찜, was flavoursome. Nothing worth mentioning.
But with well prepared neat side dishes and interesting Korean style atmosphere, this would be a suitable place to bring your foreigner friends. They are overpriced and you don't feel welcomed compare to other homely Korean place.
All of it taste satisfying.
The restaurant has options of table siting and floor siting, this restaurant is full all the time and do visit early or book!!!
The last order for dinner is at 8:30pm, operating hours is 12:00 - 15:30 / 17:00 - 21:30.
Worth a try this place once because its overpriced and not hospitable at all.
