Cafe Landtmann was thoroughly enjoyable as it was a popular coffee house to have Viennese cakes and coffee. A trip to a cafe in Vienna is part of Viennese culture. I first heard about Café Landtmann from one of Rick Stein’s long weekend series televised in the UK last year. So, following Rick Stein footsteps, I too had Apfelstrudel mit Vanillesoße - Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce. We were hungry so we had beef tartare first.
Café Landtmann is an excellent cafe for savoury and sweet menu. And I thought it was just a coffee place in the beginning. Can't believe this charming cafe is already 40 years old. Service and wait was speedy. You might wanna book during peak season. Or visit the cafe early or you will be making bee line outside in the cold during winter.
