How to eat Tafelspitz as seen on Plachutta website |
Plachutta restaurants number one dish is Tafelspitz, the tradition of Viennese boiled beef.
Emperor Franz Joseph made boiled beef hugely popular when he declared that it was his favourite meal.We had the tafelspitz with the original side dishes. It felt like homely cooking. The prices were good for the amount of food we received and the service was good, very welcoming even though we did not have a reservation. Recommended by many friends and you could witness the gallery of famous actor, actress, politicians ate here.It was really the best meal I have had in Vienna. During my stay, I just could not find another better one than Plachutta. Their Tafelspitz is so tender, the soup is flavoursome. Home made bread is very tasty. Service is professional. Could speak at least 2-3 languages.
Highly recommended to make reservation to avoid disappointment.
I reach very early for lunch at about 12pm. There were still table, soon they started rejecting customer who walk-in.
