Teatro Scala - Milan, Italy

 Leonardo da Vinci Statue
Soprano statue
La Scala is an opera house in Milan, Italy. The theatre was inaugurated on 3 August 1778 and was originally known as the Nuovo Regio Ducale Teatro alla Scala. The premiere performance was Antonio Salieri's Europa riconosciuta. Just in front a small square has an understated beauty with the statue of Leonardo da Vinci statue being the centerpiece. There is not a lot to do here since it's small, but it is still quaint nonetheless. It is a good place to enjoy a takeaway lunch or people watch. The statue is encircled by roses, contributed by a renowned soprano who used to perform at the nearby Opera House. Overall a lovely and easily accessible place to take a break within the centre of Milan.
