Santa Maria delle Grazie - Milan, Italy

Santa Maria delle grazie is a church and Dominican convent in Milan, northern Italy, included in the UNESCO World Heritage sites list. The church contains the mural of The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci, which is in the refectory of the convent. Do not get discouraged if you didn't book your ticket in advance. Some people were able to get our tickets via Get Your Guide on the same day of their visit. The tour through the Last Supper Murals take about 15 minutes per group so they are able to handle hundreds of tourist a day. The fresco is housed in what use to be the dining room of this monastery. There is an airlock that you walk through on both entering and exiting the room with the last supper. You can take as many pictures as you like, but only without the flash. If you have a camera that can take good pictures in low light it would be best to bring that for your visit. This place houses the famous last supper painting. YOU MUST HAVE RESERVATIONS! I never really appreciated these types of places. They intentionally limit the number of people to see this work of art. It is limited to the people that have reservations despite if they show up and despite the amount of time they spend viewing the art and touring. It is clearly not as organized as it should be!Really well organized place and it is nice that they have organized 15 minute intervals with not too many people. But remember to book before you go as it is much faster.
