Taman Tirta Gangga is a former royal palace in eastern Bali, Indonesia, about 5 kilometres from Karangasem. It is noted for its water palace, owned by Karangasem Royal Family.
The former royal palace of Tirtagangga (which means water of the Ganges,
Hinduism's holy river) features tiered fountains, gardens, and stone
sculptures of mythical creatures spouting water into bathing pools. Just
outside the palace grounds, the views of the lush rice paddies of
northeastern Bali are stunning.
A stroll around the garden, feed the fish, swim and relax.
Spent a lazy afternoon here. It very calming and picturesque. There were quite a few tourists around but no big crowds. Wonderful garden and good photo opportunities. The garden is full of intricate statues and pretty flowers. You don't need to wear a sarong to enter and the fee is IDR20,000
