Dinan - France

medieval town

Dinan is the best preserved small towns in Brittany, France. With its 1.8 mile (3km)-long ramparts, half-timbered houses, attractive port and cobbled street. Dinan is a very impressive walled town set on a hillside overlooking the river Rance. It is one of my favorite towns in Bretagne, its as if time stood still here.

If you watch Beauty and the Beast, it looked as if Belle grew up in this little town.
