Welcome to Gili Air |
Jetty Waiting Point |
Gili Air is by far the most tranquil island among the 3 Gili islands. Its quiet, almost no rowdy drunk tourist, complete isolation the rest of the world. Well you do get network signals but at night. Its pitch dark and stars glowing across the sky as far as your eyes can see.
There are still numerous plots of beach front land on the island, overtime it will make way for new development! I must say the beach is not that perfect coral white sands. It still got another few million years to abrasion into fine white coral sands. Sea grass are abundance here on the beach. Thats why the beaches are patches of green pastures (another reason why hawksbill turtle are abundance here) They fed on the green sea grass on the shore of 3 islands.
