Grand Sunset Hotel in Gili Air Island is new with good fixtures. I experienced 2 blackout during 4 nights of stay. It is an island, I might add, therefore I ain't complaining. The fixtures are new and hotel is clean. Everyday they make up the room, they do their best with heavy dosage pesticides spray to keep mosquitoes and bugs at bay. I was kept out for a while too nonetheless, it was really nice place on the far end of the island. It was the last hotel at the corner. The neighbor plot of lands next to it were empty and nothing had been done to it. That was a good perk! Get to walk to the empty plot's beach in the middle of the night where stars are beaming back at you.
The hotel overall is clean, spanking new and swimming pool is large.
They are some what a dive training hotel. While I was there, the breakfast was outsourced to another neighboring resort. All I can say is, the breakfast is best avoided. Pictures of the breakfast were shown above. I did appreciate the view that I get to wake up to!
The hotel is building their very own restaurant to accomodate its own guest. I think they could charge more now, if their breakfast is good. Gili Air is a quiet island compare to Gili Trawangan.
I can't wait to visit Gili Meno or Gili Air again!
