Daelim Museum Color Your Life Pantone - Seoul, South Korea

Moroso was at the Daelim Museum in Seoul with its iconic products from 25 February until 21 August 2016, as part of the Color your Life exhibition. The displays are organized into five sections, with the objective of exploring colour from a range of different angles. Spring Collection by Ron Arad, Saruyama Island by Toshiyuki Kita, Ross Lovegrove’s Supernatural chair, and My Beautiful Backside sofa by Doshi&Levien are just some of the Moroso products selected for the exhibition, due to their skillful combination of aesthetic beauty and functional efficacy, which demonstrates perfect harmony between structure and form, materials and texture, design and colour. The combination of creative designs and colours gives rise to new objects to transform our everyday lives. Situated in the residential neighborhood of Tongui-dong, Daelim Museum went under a major renovation under the direction of French architect Vincent Cornu. The exteriors of the buildings are reminiscent of works by Piet Mondrian, but in fact, the stained glass took inspiration from Korean traditional pottery. Initially the museum set its focus on photography, but now has a broader purview, housing various thematic exhibitions on multitudes of genres in just about all forms. Because Daelim Musuem holds two long-running exhibitions per year, you will theoretically have plenty of time, but don't leave it to the last minute—long lines are almost a guarantee on the weekends.
