There are 3 parts of the lakes where there are shuttle buses to drop you off to let you finish your tour at the national park. I was fortunate to visit on a bright sunny day when the weather app on phone stated cloudy drizzle. It was a pleasant surprise to visit such a well organised park. There are multiple entrance to the park. We took the one nearest the middle of the lake. It was a good place to spend the day! There is even a rotisserie canteen on site for a good lunch! See
another post here. FYI, Beer were sold through the park was a nice touch! The sunny day made the lakes picturesque.
The park stated Drone Photography is NOT allowed. I brought with me but didn't get to fly it.
Plitviče Lakes National Park is a 295-sq.-km forest reserve in central Croatia. It's known for a chain of 16 terraced lakes, joined by waterfalls, that extend into a limestone canyon. Walkways and hiking trails wind around and across the water, and an electric boat links the 12 upper and 4 lower lakes. The latter are the site of Veliki Slap, a 78m-high waterfall.
