Medsye Tour is a reliable travel
agency. Due to the port located 30 mins drive from where I stayed , Pakarang Beach. We were picked up at 7:30am and arrive on time to check in. Soon I realized, this tour agency is Russian owned. I didn't have a good feeling about this. I was right, they charge extra for Fins but no charge for the snorkeling mask. About 50Baht a pair and you must prepaid a deposit of 10,000Baht in case you lost it at sea.
The boat trip to Koh Tachai was okay. It was on a smaller size boat with about 25 passengers on the tour
that day. They brought us to all the
location as listed on the itinerary. The seats was soaking wet which was a little unpleasant.
In
general, Koh Tachai island has much less visitor compare to
Koh Similan. It still gives you, the feeling of private island getaway when on the beach. The island does resemble Maldives. White coral fine sands and turquoise blue water. There is also Chicken Crab residing on the island named Pookai.
We return to Ban Num Khem Pier on time. There were drinks and snacks provided at the check-in area. We had toilet breaks and were ushered to our vehicle to return to the hotel.
I paid SGD$99 per pax during the low season (About 2500Baht, end of April - beginning of May)

if you stay in Phuket, it will be 1 hour 40 mins drive to this Ban Num Khem Pier at Khao Lak (subject to additional charges)
The food were pre-packed, not buffet style lunch. You can see other tours had buffet set up which was pretty sad compare to our lousy lunch packed.
Sliced watermelon and wet towel were
served at the end of the tour.
During my snorkel, I saw baby sharks and turtles. Koh Tachai is really nice but please go with SeaStar Travel Tour. They are superb!
