Holiday in Porto, Portugal

This year, 2014, while I was zapping the TV, captivated by the screen of a random travel show about Portugal. It was recommended that now is the best time to visit the country! Especially with its prices of accommodation are all time low. So I decided to research whether to go either to Lisbon (the capital of Portugal) or Porto (second largest city in Portugal)
My impression on TV was amazing food, ruins sites and palaces and egg tarts at EUR1 each. It seemed like a great idea to visit Portugal! And its sure is.

I'm more of a pictures blogging kinda guy, not really writing much unless its necessary to point out the negative of the matter.

So here are my budget!
TAP airline Return ticket EUR200.40 -  Clocked 918 miles with Kris Flyers
BRU>OPO - OPO>BRU

Quite an old aircraft! Best seats would be near the exit door! :)
I read online (After searching high and low ) that TAP actually serves sandwiches and they did! Wine was available too!
The brand new metro line is just below the airport!
well connected to the city centre!
Aeroporto Francisco Sa Carneiro is very accessible to the city centre of Porto, Portugal
to get to my hotel, I had to get off at Sao Bento station!

Ribeira Do Porto Hotel EUR325 for 5 nights. Around EUR65 a night! which is SGD115 a night (I chose this hotel because its fairly newly renovated) Furthermore, the airbnb apartments I wanted are all booked out! Porto is quite popular destination apparently! There are cheaper hotels within the proximity, they cost as low as SGD78 a night (sold out fast)! This hotel I had chosen is right at the Duoro river, in the Old City very near the iconic Dom Luis Bridge.

Got an awesome wallpaper! Dom Luis Bridge
Clean and new!
 Complimentary Water and Apple

Coffee Machine at the Breakfast spread!
Yes they include daily breakfast! Its a decent spread!
The breakfast place is bright and clean.
And just outside the window is the view....
Stacks of old city and dom luis bridge back drop!

Will post more activities and mostly places to eat in another post.
Total expenses for Hotel + Flight = EUR362.90 a person excluding shopping and dining out!
