This is the most amazing cenote I ever swam in. Coming to Mexico with absolutely no prior heavy research on the activities itinerary. Stumbled upon this cenote after meeting some local Mexicans that shared about this unique cave cenote is the highlight of my trip. Just few minutes drive from Valladolid central. Sun ray beamed into the natural oculus in the deep cave. Here you will witness a beautiful grotto with fresh water table your eyes will ever laid on. I came to Mexico with little expectation or probably no knowledge and turned out to be the best travel I ever did for myself in 2018. The place gave a feeling of healing. For anyone who is feeling down, this would be a place of soul-hugging or should I phrased worth being alive for moment. Cenote Suytun is one of the must-see in Mexico.
Top tips:
Pay cash for the entrance ticket. Do not bring any valuables.
Bring your own towel, but there is towel rental if you need.
Arrive before 12pm for a direct sunlight beam down on the platform.
Wear reef shoes to prevent any slippery accidents, the cave is very damp and wet.
Lifejackets are provided on the surface prior to descending down the cave.
