Colgate chose an in-your-face idea for its pizza-box toothpaste promo: the inside of the box is a toothy yawning maw, and front and center is a little reminder that the loaded pie inside could mean morning breath for the paste-less muncher.

When it comes to the college-student market, ad designers at BBDO New York linked the idea of cheesy fuel for late-night study sessions to subscriptions to The Economist. The magazine’s pie-chart bearing pizza boxes were delivered in areas around college campuses.
